Scoliosis Correction Testimonial
Hi, my name is Cindy. I’m from Edmonds, Alberta, Canada, and my son has scoliosis. He started with a 32 degree curve, and the treatment after the first week has been amazing. The clinic has been wonderful and very tolerant as 3-year-olds are not very understanding of the process, but with time and persistence it becomes more of a process that they’ll understandthat they tolerate. And we are very thankful that we came because we’ve noticed a very significant difference in the curve.
Scoliosis Correction in Teen 45 to 25 Degrees
I was in a brace for seven years, since I was eight years old, and the treatment that I received here is way more beneficial than the brace was. It makes way more sense. Instead of holding the curve where it is, it found the areas where I needed the most work, and it’s just worked very well.
He went from 45 degrees and in ten days of treatment down to 25 degrees, and has increased both the lower back curve and the neck curve. So, we’re very happy with the results.
Scoliosis Correction Centers Patient Discusses Care
Hi, I’m Trisha, and I’ve had scoliosis since I was a teenager. I have obviously coped with it throughout my life, but as I got older I started developing pain in various areas. I’ve tried conventional chiropractic care. I’ve tried an osteopath. I’ve tried orthopedic people and even just somebody that could do assisted isolated stretching, but nothing really touched the pain.
So I am here with Dr. Hersh at the Scoliosis Correction Centers, and it’s really beginning to pay off. I’ve noticed a lot of change with the structure of my back. The pain is beginning to subside. So I’m pretty happy with it.
RN Discusses Alternative Scoliosis Treatment
As a registered nurse I’ve actually seen both aspects of what back surgery can do and what nonsurgical treatment can do. I’ve seen back surgery patients at the hospital. It’s one of the most frequent surgeries where patients actually come back after surgery because of one reason or the other. Either the surgery failed, they’re in more pain than they were before the surgery, or infection whereas the option here is a nonsurgical option.
You come in. You get treated. There are tremendous results to get. And you don’t have to worry about all the negative aspects of actually doing a surgery.
Patient with Scoliosis Correction Treatment
Hi my name is Christina Sar [sp], and I’m 21 years old. I’ve had scoliosis since I was about eight or nine years old. I was diagnosed, and the doctors basically told me to just wait and see what happens and I did. And then, I started growing. During my growth spurts, I got a lot worse. My curve got really bad, and they decided to give me some braces. I tried two different kinds, and they didn’t work, and it was really hard for me to stick with that because they were uncomfortable and I was a teenager, so it was really hard for me to wear them at school. So I basically left those off.
And, so, essentially my curves got worse as I got older. Scoliosis never really bothered me. I never really had that much pain until a few years ago, when I went to college and it got really bad and I thought, “I’m only 19 and my back hurts so much. I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like when I get older.”
So I did some research, and I went online and found Dr. Hersh and the Scoliosis Correction Centers, and my parents decided to let me come and check it out. And I’ve been doing this program for about two years now, and I’ve gotten a lot of improvement. When I first came, my x-ray showed that I had a 62 degree curve on the top and a 55 degree curve on the bottom. As of last week, I now have a 46 degree curve on the top and a 32 degree curve on the bottom. So, I’ve gotten a lot better.
It’s a lot of work. I’m not going to lie, but it’s definitely worth it. It’s lifelong benefits. Dr. Hersh has really helped me. At first, it was a little discouraging because I didn’t see results right away, but he just told me to keep going, and it’s definitely been worth it. So if you have scoliosis, I would definitely, highly recommend Dr. Hersh.
Parent Discusses Alternative Scoliosis Treatment
Hi, my name is Michelle. This is my daughter, Courtney. And we came to see Dr. Hersh. She was diagnosed about a month ago or so. We found his website; we were looking. We had been to an orthopedist and weren’t happy with that recommendation. So we were able to go online, find his website, do some research, and we decided to go ahead and come down for treatment.
We met with Dr. Hersh and his staff. They were amazing. The care Courtney’s just finishing up has one more day of a two week session, and we’ve seen great results so far. We’ve been really happy with Dr. Hersh and his staff. They’ve all been patient answering all of our questions.
Courtney’s done a great job with all of the therapy. It’s been hard work, but she’s been able to keep up with it. And we’re really happy so far with the results. Thank you.
Non Surgical Scoliosis Correction Success
Hi, my name is Joanne Lembeau, and this is my daughter, Talia Lembeau [SP]. We are wanting to do this testimonial so that mothers like me could understand when you’re looking for someone, and you don’t think you have anyone to turn to, and the doctors are telling you that you need surgery, and you’re going crazy at home, not knowing where to turn, Dr. Hersh is definitely where to turn.
I felt so secure here. I see results in my daughter go from a 47 degree curve to a 29 degree curve within the two week process. I would love to continue with him throughout the year so that he can watch over my daughter because that’s where I found the comfort. I’m very, very, very pleased.
Thanks.

My name is Michelle, and I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hersh’s for five months now. I’m very excited with my progress at Dr. Hersh’s. I started five months ago. I came here with a 28 degree Cobb angle. That was after a year at another chiropractor where this chiropractor, the previous one, said that she could fix the Cobb angle. And it actually got five degrees worse.
So I came Dr. Hersh’s very skeptical. My neck, under the care of the other chiropractor, had actually buckled the opposite way, so like a reverse curve, so I was in a lot of pain. As I said, I was very skeptical. So Dr. Hersh worked with me, for almost five months. I’ve gotten a nine degree improvement in my Cobb angle. I went from a 28 to a 19. My neck is now curved in the correct direction, and my pain is significantly decreased.
Obviously, I highly recommend Dr. Hersh. I would also recommend that if you have scoliosis, don’t go to anyone that is just a regular chiropractor. I’ve been to regular chiropractors for years, thinking that they work with bones, and they could fix my scoliosis. Obviously, it made it much, much worse.
I’m really thankful for finding Dr. Hersh and that it’s working. I’m going to continue to work with Dr. Hersh some so that we can get the Cobb degree down to a less than ten. That’s our goal. I’ve got full confidence that I’ve gotten this much improvement in five months that over the rest of the year, and I certainly believe that I will have the full improvement.
Muy Contento Con El Centro de Corrección de Escoliosis
Hola.
Madison Discusses the Reduction of Her Scoliosis Curve
Madelyn’s Mom Discusses Alternative Scoliosis Correction
Randy: Hi, my name is Randy Weinstein. This is my daughter, Madelyn. She’s 12-years-old. Say hi to everybody.
Madelyn: Hi.
Randy: About two months ago, we found out that my daughter has scoliosis, actually a very bad case of it. Her curve is an S-curve. It’s 48 degrees on top, 37 degrees on the bottom.
We were researching all of our different options, and basically the only option that was for us–because we’re a chiropractic family–was doing the CLEAR method. We’ve been working for the past two weeks with Dr. Hersh and Dr. Spitz. Dr. Spitz has been doing all of the x-rays. Dr. Hersh has been doing all the treatments. Basically, it’s a two week procedure.
Midway through we did some stress x-rays on her. We got great results. Her top curve decreased 20 degrees. Her bottom curve decreased 12 degrees. We’ve been very happy. The staff is wonderful. Madelyn does all the exercises with a smile. Going forward, we’ll just see what goes on, but we’re very happy.
Kyphosis Helped at Scoliosis Correction Centers
Hi, I’m Ann from Adelaide, Australia. My daughter has been suffering from scoliosis, and I have been suffering for a number of years from a bent over spine, which is known as kyphosis. My daughter researched on the net and found Dr. Hersh’s clinic. I’m very, very pleased that she has found this place and that we are here, and I’m very, very pleased with the results.
Kris – Scoliosis Patient’s Mom Explains Care
Audio Transcription
Hi, my name is Kris Peska, and my daughter, Keisha, has been visiting Dr. Hersh here in Connecticut for a few years now.
In eighth grade she was diagnosed with scoliosis by a routine check by the high school nurse. And so we went to a regular spinal doctor in Nebraska, who took x-rays of her and decided that her Cobb angle was about 16, and that was in eighth grade. There, he said that we would just watch and wait, and if it got into the 20s, then we would brace her. If it got into the 35 to 40 range, then we would do the Harrington rods surgery, which was just ludicrous to us. We felt that if you could move teeth in the mouth, you surely could move the spine by some kind of manipulation. The brace seemed evasive and constrictive, and that also scared us.
So what we did, we kind of sat around and thought about it for a few days and tried to call some people we knew who would know something about scoliosis, like some physical therapists in our area. And one was recommended to us to go to – a drive that was two and a half hours in the State of Nebraska – to see a physical therapist and do numerous hard exercises. We did that for two years, and one night I decided, I said, “Keisha I want to look at your back.” And I looked at that and I said, “I think your back’s getting worse, not better.” And it scared me; it made my heart sink that maybe we were doing the wrong thing.
So I got back online, and I did a little more research as far as who could maybe help my daughter. And at that time I stumbled onto plain and simple Scoliosis Correction Centers. I said, “Well, that sounds like the place for Keisha, just the title.” So I got on their website back then, and, of course, that was two years later after she was first diagnosed. So when she was a freshman, let’s see, she would have to have been, maybe it wasn’t two years. It was more like a year. But anyway, I stumbled onto this website and I decided, goodness gracious, Nebraska to Connecticut is a long ways. I’ve never been to either coast before.
We decided to email Dr. Hersh. So I made up a lot of questions, and Dr. Hersh answered every one of them. I reread that website several times. I had my husband, Keisha’s dad, involved in helping me decide this, that I think we really need to look at this and maybe going out there to Connecticut. So anyway, we decided to come, just Keisha and myself. We came out here, stayed in the apartment and had Dr. Hersh look at Keisha. Everything here, the stations that she’s worked with or on, have made sense to us.
It’s not easy. It’s a commitment. But would you rather have surgery? Would you rather have a huge, big scar on your back? She didn’t, and I didn’t want her to. And then as far as looking into more about people who have had surgeries, a lot of them don’t work. The wires will rip inside. and people will have to go have a new surgery. Rehab that way is a long, lengthy time.
So anyway, we made this commitment to do the CLEAR Institute Program with Dr. Hersh. Dr. Hersh is very good and very caring about his patients. He does his absolute best to help you and figure out how to improve your spine. Everybody is different. Everybody’s back responds differently. We have had progress, but we’ve also stalemated, too. It depends on your attitude as a patient, how much you want to put into it, how much work you want to do. A lot of people have an exercise routine that they do daily. This is Keisha’s exercise routine. Looking back at when we first came out here and learning so much from Dr. Hersh and how the spine is with scoliosis, we have realized that this is a long-term commitment on our part as for her healing and getting well.
We just feel that this is the right place to be, comparing it to surgeries or some other physical therapies that I’ve looked into. This makes sense. It is a commitment. It is a long-term commitment, both from the doctor’s side and our side. It is, I don’t want to say it’s hard, but it is a commitment to improving your spine naturally without doing the surgery that is just graphic to us, and we don’t know what could happen afterwards.
Keisha’s back is a little bit different case again as far as scoliosis, because she’s very rigid, and she’s had a tough time responding. So Dr. Hersh has made every effort to figure out with different equipment how to correct that and loosen up that back so it will respond a little more than what it has been. We feel that after all this time that we have been doing this, we have never given up on Dr. Hersh, and he has never given up on Keisha. We think he’s a great doctor, very caring. She doesn’t want to try and do anything different, either.
She’s still working with Dr. Hersh, and she’s committed to doing a 90 day, never miss an exercise, twice a day routine contract with Dr. Hersh right now to try and figure out why she’s having this rigid back, and it’s not responding very well. Her scoliosis is in the low 30s. She has an S-curve. She has a very, very straight neck, and we’re trying to get the curve established in the neck foremost to help her prevent from having arthritis in her 30s.
So to sum it up, I feel that we have made the right decision in coming here. As far as a parent’s perspective, we want to do what’s absolutely best for our daughter, and we feel that we are in the right place at the right time. And I’m very grateful that we found Dr. Hersh just by Googling, just like so many parents out there that are trying to learn about scoliosis and do the right thing. I would highly recommend coming out here and visiting with Dr. Hersh, if at all possible, before you do anything drastic as far as surgery, and see what he has to say. Look at the equipment and go from there.
Kacia – Scoliosis Treatment – “Done Wonderful for Me”
Video Transcription
My name is Kacia, and I’m a patient here at Dr. Hersh’s clinic. I used to do physical therapy before coming here, and I could never really feel it getting better. The exercises were so difficult before coming here. When I first came here I was really intimidated by all the equipment and stuff, but after doing it, I feel a lot better. The help is great. I feel really comfortable being around here. It’s done wonders for me. I can actually feel the results, not only see them.
Julia Had Rods Taken Out – Alternative Scoliosis Correction
Hi, I’m Rebecca, and this is Julia, and we just finished our first session with Dr. Hersh. It’s been an amazing experience. This has been a miracle for her. She, Julia, has an 80 degree curve, and we’ve definitely been able to reduce it significantly from being here as well as having some dietitian changes as well from Dr. Spitz, who’s been absolutely amazing.
Julia had a growing-rod surgery done several years ago. She had revisions done every year, and finally had them removed. And that’s when we knew we had to do something to help with her scoliosis. We knew that our only other option besides coming here was to have surgery, which was not an option for us. I am extremely grateful that we came here because it’s definitely helped a lot and set us in the right direction.
Also, Julia is a 14-year-old girl, and she’s actually on the lower scale of weight. Luckily, Dr. Spitz is able to set us in the right direction as far as nutrition goes. Before, she was receiving just feeding her Nutrin in her G-tube. And it definitely wasn’t enough for her, significant calories and nutrition. Now I think we’re on the right direction.
