Dr. Daniel S. Hersh, Founder of Scoliosis Correction Centers, was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended public schools, graduating Andrew Jackson High School in Queens, NY, honored as one of a handful of ‘Top Scholars’ graduating number 16 in a class of 1300 students. He graduated from The City University of New York, Queens, College with honors in 1971. After living and studying French in Grenoble, France, Hebrew in Tel Aviv, Israel, and later Spanish in Panama, Central America, he enrolled in Temple University Dental School. But this was not his calling. He found an affinity for the natural arts and enrolled and graduated from New York Chiropractic College, part of the State University of New York in 1978. After practicing in Manhattan as the Chiropractic physician for the Alvin Ailey Dance Company’s ‘Dancers in Training’ he opened a private practice in Torrington, in Northwest Connecticut. After diagnosing severe scoliosis in one of his children, Dr Hersh made a solemn promise to learn and use all manner of natural healing to treat those suffering from scoliosis, a condition highly under diagnosed.

Dr. Kaila Hersh graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California in March of 2013 after attending Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT where she received her Bachelor’s in Science in Public Health in 2008.
While at Chiropractic School , Dr. Kaila Hersh strengthened her education and leadership skills outside the classroom by joining the Palmer West Sports Council club during which she attended events around the Bay Area offering chiropractic care as well as basic first aid, stretching and taping to the participating athletes. She was also on the Associate Student Government where she was the Community Service Director. Her job was to head projects that benefited the surrounding community while getting the Palmer Chiropractic name out into the public. In 2012, Dr. Kaila Hersh traveled to Nadi, Fiji to provide Chiropractic care to those in need.
Dr. Kaila Hersh was diagnosed with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis at a very young age which inspired her father, already a Chiropractor, Dr. Daniel Hersh, to further explore alternative treatment options for scoliosis. She then followed in his footsteps when she decided to pursue her doctorate in Chiropractic. After graduating Chiropractic school, she went on to post- graduate studies in non-surgical treatment for scoliosis patients. Like her father, she is passionate about scoliosis work as they both have a personal connection to it, and is certified in the CLEAR Scoliosis Method. Since receiving her doctorate, seven years ago, Dr. Kaila Hersh has been working closely with her father in the successful treatment of hundreds of scoliosis patients from 3-87 years old.
When not treating patients in one of the several scoliosis clinics, Dr. Kaila Hersh engages in a healthy proactive lifestyle including traveling to multicultural countries to explore additional health related and specifically scoliosis related phenomenon. You can find her pursuing further conservative scoliosis graduate studies and clinical data which are constantly evolving and translate to continuous enhancement of patient results. This also includes a variety of body movement studies, hiking, reading, and following and recommending a healthy diet and lifestyle to all her patients.
